Dana Maxson feels vaguely uncomfortable referring to himself in the third person. Nonetheless, he is a freelance photographer living in New York City. More specifically, the Riverdale section of the Bronx, often described by the local news media as "leafy" whenever something bad happens there.

He spent fifteen years in book publishing, most recently as Publicity Manager for a large (large!) New York house. He would like to extend his apologies to those authors whose fate rested in his hands.

Dana is an avid hiker who loves being outdoors and, when matters are not pressing, can often be found kayaking down a river somewhere. His award(s) include, and are limited to, the 2009 Moosehead Lake Chamber of Commerce Award for Best Photo of a Moose, for which he received a t-shirt that was two sizes too large.

Yet his work ethic is uncompromising; his passion for what he does boundless. His clients include Fordham University, Fordham Law School, the City University of New York, Harvard University and Harvard Business School, Sarah Lawrence College, the College of Mount Saint Vincent, the University of Southern California, the Illinois Institute of Technology, Virginia Tech University and the Pamplin School of Business therein, Northwestern University, St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's School, the Francis Parker School, and others. His work has been seen in The New York Times, the New York Post, on ABC's World News Tonight and Billboard.com, and the 2009 Moosehead Lake Chamber of Commerce Visitor's Guide.

He would be most pleased to hear from you. He can be reached at danamaxson@optimum.net or 646-323-1225.
